What to Know

Illimitable Dominion is presented as a socially distanced immersive experience during which audience members will experience three unique narratives simultaneously, each narrative following the creation of one of the three ghosts from Dickens’s classic, A Christmas Carol. Which story (or stories) audience members attend to is up to them.

Though seating is not provided on site, socially distanced viewing areas are demarcated and designated by a specific color: red, blue, or green. In advance of the performance, audience members will be contacted with their assigned color(s) at the email provided when purchasing tickets. Parties of greater than four persons will be divided accordingly.

Audiences will enter the cemetery from the Righters Ferry Road entrance (450 Righters Ferry Rd Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004). Ample parking is available immediately upon entry. A crew member will guide audiences from the parking lot to the performance space at the cemetery receiving vaults, a short uphill walk over paved surface.

*NOTE: GUIDES WILL PROMPTLY DEPART FROM THE PARKING AREA 10 and 5 MINUTES PRIOR TO SHOWTIME.

After arriving at the performance space, audiences will be given the opportunity to free explore the scenes before the show officially begins.

Illimitable Dominion is a 360 degree performance, with multiple scenes occurring simultaneously. Audiences are encouraged to check-in on other scenes throughout the performance, but the designated narrative will play in the playing space in front of the viewing area. At certain times in the performance, audience members may need to turn around or reposition themselves to view interludes. A good rule of thumb is to attend to the closest lit performance area.

Safety Measures and Considerations

Limited to 12 audience members per performance, Illimitable Dominion is performed outdoors and in accordance with City of Philadelphia safety guidelines with labeled 6 foot minimum distance markers between audience members from different households and minimum 20 foot distances from performers. Audiences are expected to wear masks for the duration of the show. Sanitizing materials and masks will be provided on site to those who need them.

To further safety precautions, seating is not provided during the show’s 50-minute runtime. Audiences are encouraged to bring camp chairs, blankets, etc. if they are not comfortable standing for the duration of the performance.

Performances are partially ambulatory and require audiences to walk brief distances over level, lighted ground. Comfortable attire and footwear are recommended.

Fog machine and smoke effects may be employed as part of the performance.

Not recommended for children under 13.
